Wooden basket lid Ø15 cm – Little butterfly

Wooden lid with a Pony (Koník) picture motif – plywood base, 15 cm diameter, 3 mm thick. Used as the closing top part of a crocheted basket, occasionally also as a patterned bottom.

• recommended cord thickness for crocheting: 5 mm
• recommended hook: size 6 or 8

The base can be painted, varnished or otherwise decorated before use. As it is plywood, visible wood grain and texture are normal and not a defect. Work gently when crocheting around the holes as they are fragile; start with a size 6 hook and increase stitches evenly around the edge so the finished basket holds its shape.
